now how to get to Los Angeles???

That is my current dilema.

I think I've got it sorted how to get from LA to Australia and back.

Now I'm looking for a good deal from Fargo, ND (FAR) to Los Angeles, CA (LAX) for under $400 USD.

Anyone have any tips?

$390 with Frontier Airlines is the best I can put together.

Thanks all for the AWESOME suggestions!!!!!!

$390 R/T is a good deal. I'd jump on it if i were you. The fares will only go up as summer approaches.

Helpful hint: Make sure you give yourself PLENTY of time to connect in LAX! (Not that you wouldn't) I had a family of six trying to go to NZ on Quantas the other night. They were connecting on us from Sacramento. Well, we were an hour and a half late because of the weather on the east coast, and a mechanical problem.

Anyhow, they only gave themselves 2 hours to begin with, and we arrived at the gate at 7:45 PM, their flight departed at 8:35 PM. They had to get their luggage from baggage claim, catch a shuttle to the INT terminal, check in and get through security. I doubt they made it... 2 hours would have been pushing it!

Moral of the story, book a morning flight. You can always go to the beach and hang out in LA until your flight leaves!

Right now my proposed itinerary is arriving in LAX at 6:45pm departure for Australia 11:40pm. Is that enough time? I know you said morning, but I think I'd have to leave the day before to get to LAX then.

I'm meeting with a travel agent tomorrow.

Or Train?

Sorry guys. The choice isn't what mode of transportation. It's "how cheap can I find the flights to get there?". I'm pushing it as far as length of stay goes anyways. I don't want to spend precious time on a train or bus when I could be in the land of Oz!!!!! Now where's my ruby slippers? There's no place like Oz. There's NO place like Oz.
