.....Revelation Chapter 13 tells us it is 42 months, and you know what that is. Almost a four-year term of a Presidency.
According to The Book of Revelation the Anti-Christ is:
....The Anti-Christ will be a man, in his 40's, of MUSLIM descent, who will deceive the nations with persuasive language, and have a MASSIVE Christ-like appeal.
The prophecy says that people will flock to him and he will promise false hope and world peace, and when he is in power, will destroy everything.
Do we recognize this description?? Each opportunity that you have to send it to a friend I refuse to take a chance on this unknown candidate who came out

As with so many other statements I've heard him (and his wife) make, I never thought I'd see the day that I'd hear something like that from a presidential candidate in this nation.
To think our forefathers fought and died for the right for our nation to be a Christian nation--and to have this man say with pride that we are no longer that. How far this nation has come from what our founding fathers intended it to be.
I hope that each of you will do what I'm doing now--send your concerns, written simply and sincerely, to the Christians on your email list. With God's help, and He is still in control of this nation and all else, we can show this man and the world in November that we are, indeed, still a Christian nation!

Since this was sent to me unsolicited, and since there is no religious test of office of any kind in the Constitution (Article VI section 3), how is it that the Bible predicts the anti-Christ will be a Muslim since Muhammad(http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Islam#Muhammad) wasn't even born until 570 AD - long after the closing of scripture and well after the last large council of bishops (Nicea anyone?)

It's from a deluded sense of importance in all things scriptural or an outright lie.
Is lying about the contents of scripture for one's on political viewpoint a sin? I forget.
I have no worthwhile comment on the 'Christian Nation' myth other than this straight from the First Amendment: "Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof;..." This Republic has always been a secular republic in which any religion may be practiced freely and not imposed nor restricted by the authority of the government.

America was never a Christian Nation. In the late 1700s and early 1800s the Baptists in particular, and quite a large portion of other Christians were opposed to religious tests for candidates for any political office.
Those people knew from their own, &/or their families', experiences with religious oppression in Europe, that for America to have freedom of religion, religion had to be kept out of politics. A wall of separation between church and state was essential for religion! Now it is the Baptists and evangelicals who most want the wall torn down! What was that word you used, Fiery, "fuckwits". Yep that about says it.
What really needs to done is for second wall to be built, to complement the religious one. That would be a wall between the state and the economy.
A little late now, but that's a stooopid reason to vote for anyone.

I think Obama's supposed appearance in the book of Revelations is an incredibly stupid reason to vote against him and now to fear him as President.

Richard, Christians aren't "pro-freedom", and with the list of criticisms of Obama that you present, then Christians should be FOR Obama.
Christians are pro-life which is the equivalent of pro-slavery. And every one knows how the Bible supports, promotes and encourages slavery.
