[2nd Addition] The next morning.

[3rd Addition] I have plans for this evening.

That snow has 3 hours to melt or I am taking DRASTIC ACTION. And I mean it!!! So there!!!!!!

Do you suppose snow responds to threats? Fiery tantrums? Phoenix in flames? Well here comes the sun! :P

I guess I am not going to complain that we were in the 80s yesterday and 50s today here in Chicagoland.

I am so with you on hating the crappy weather...no snow here today or yesterday but it is incredibly cold! I guess I should be lad I haven't bothered with turning off the heat yet!

I'm so sorry! You could always visit! Just remember, it's almost time to go down under! Hang in there, bundle up and pack so that you are ready to go when it's time to go! Sending you warm hugs!

I just had to thank you for putting me in your "Who's Who List." I am honored! Thank you so much! I'm so glad that we met!

Hiya Thump! Sorry about the pics not working, I think I've got it sorted now. Even added some new ones! :D I thought it was the last burst of the season 3 snow storms ago. I've never seen a spring quite like this one. Winter, SPRING, Winter, SPRING, WINTER!!!!! AARRRGGGHHH!!! Oh sure we get the odd unexpected snow. But the temps always show a steady increase not this see-saw back and forth monkey business.

Hi Stardust! From 80's to 50's is a bit harsh. Very shivery.

Hi Winneymomma! :) I knew it was probably a bit early to turn off the heat. In fact, when I did it I remember making some off-handed remark about it had better not snow again.

Hey Tracey! :) I've had the clothes I'm going to take arranged at the end of my closet for about 2 months now and am toying with which bag to use as a carryon. I actually need to contact my agent to see when I am incharge of my checked luggage or if I don't see it again until I arrive in Perth.
Thanks for the hugs!!!!! :)

T&A- I miss the photo looking down at you, that was cool. Now I'll have to go to FlickR to get my T&A fix. Particularly that one with you in your kilt and omg I am drooling just thinking about it. Quick, change the subject!!!!! MMmmmmmmmmmm

Wow, that snow sure piled up in heaps. Cripey, where did all come from? Was it an "Easterly". If it was, then it brought the water from the Great Lakes and dumped it onya. Cool, meteorological stuff... but really it is global warming getting you because you probably burn too much gas driving in and out of town. Whopping big sucker of a "carbon footprint". Frankly, my carbon footprint is a great big turd, a by-product of having to live. Stop people from doing what makes carbon and X-lax will not be the only business to go bankrupt!

It has stayed unseasonably warm here in Alice, it's the apocalypse I tell you (runs around screaming and waving hands in air)

Holy shit-Sean
(I kinda like that alliterative thing),

Who would have thought the global warming apocalypse would start in Alice Springs???

I am sorry. I am really really sorry. I didn't recycle that last can of pop. Clearly, by the butterfly-in-China Chaos principle, I have started an inexorable process that will kill us all.

Don't run around waving your hands in the air; it won't help unless you are a fundy. Instead, you should make Al Gore proud: smoothly squat down, place your head between your knees, then reach further with your lips until you can kiss your ass good-bye.

Sorry to see you go Sean, you were pretty cool. I guess I'll be following you to anal kissing oblivion soon —we have had an unusually dry spring here, obviously because Canadian carbon-footprints have become apocalyptically large.

What a crock of shinola! I hope you are having a fun time there, with the odd dose of the amber nectar. 'Crack' one for me!

Dun 'ere

Whatever you do, dont mention the amber liquid to Sean, it doesnt like him ;-)

Nothing quite so dramatic as a big late snowstorm, but a couple of weeks ago here in Perth, we had the whole average allocation of rain for April...in ONE day! Our back carpark filled up like a bath tub! As it eventually began to empty out, it created a swiftly flowing river gushing down the driveway past our main door which i've never seen happen before...even with blocked drains as per usual
{:-/

Then I was rudely awakened by the loudest clap of thunder the other night, made even more disorienting by the frantic actions of a small jack russell barking very loudly under the doona and struggling mightily to escape from under the doona, scratching my legs in the process.., which in the 3am half light all seemed pretty scary for a split second...while some more rain pounded the roof. This is not a big rain place, we're not used to too much of it :}

Needless to say, I'm closely watching for any small 'local' signs of that great phenomenum called global warming ahem...climate change... . . .:)

Gosh, that must be a lot scotch. Nasty stuff, that. Brandy is much better :-).

Now "Crash".

It was 1/4 of an inch of scotch on the rocks. But it followed a shot of butter rum, a shot of vodka, another shot of butter rum, 4 oz of Merry's Strawberry Creme (like Bailey's Irish Creme), and a bottle of pomegranate flavored malt beverage.

apparently after that much alcohol I have no sense of my own personal volume at all.
