I forgot my Mom's birthday

It's tomorrow. (Sunday October 26th) I feel like complete shit about forgetting it. There's nothing I can do that will negate the fact that I didn't remember in time to send her something. FFFUUUUCCCCKKKK!!!!!!!!! Not even a card.

AAARRRRRGGGGGHHHHH!!!!!!!!

I've been so wrapped up in my own little personal drama that I haven't thought about anybody but myself in months.

I'm so sorry. If it's any consolation, this year has gone by so fucking fast that my head is spinning.

Can you tell her that you're making her something and it isn't done yet?

Can you tell her that you ordered her something and it's backordered or hasn't arrived yet?

She's your Mom, fiery, a phone call is probably all she wants anyway!!

Hugs!!

Yeah.. just ring and ask if she liked the card... what! didn't get it.. bloody postal service.

Now stop thinking about yourself so much and think about..... ME. Oh, you are :)

When I was 19, I forgot my mom's birthday and she and my dad kicked me out of the house. I did get 6 months notice, but that's the excuse she used. She denies it now, I told her to wait until I put her in a home. :)
I usually just call my mom on her birthday and thank her for not aborting me and for being a good mom. Better than any gift from the store.

Tracey- unfortunately this isn't the first time I've dropped the ball on holidays/special occassions and I've used up all plausible excuses. Will definitely be giving her a call. Will probably even arrange a time to come and see her while the Republicans are buying the electing with their "cheap" gasoline.

Protium- I think about you every day dear brother. You and your lovely wife.

Joe- *snerk* Nice one. Gettin' kicked out of your parent's house. Now that's "tough love". Parents always have to remember that it's their children that choose their nursing home. Yikes!!!!!

Sean- Thanks for droppin' in. Too wild that they share the same date. I'm working on the meme you tagged me for, it's a nice one. Makes me think. You know how I like that. :)

It might just be my insomnia, or perhaps it is the winter wind that howled a good portion of last night and all this morning, but to me, Poodles comment read....

"Nurse, Give me 30cc's of FLOWERS! STAT!!!"

:) LOL!!!!!

Thanks for the suggestion Poodles, it is definitely a possibility. Will see how the phone calls go.

:)
