*snerk* for the day

I've worked in retail for a little over two years now. Fortunately, as my own boss, I don't have to answer to anyone but myself for the decisions I make or the way I treat the customers. I have really been getting a kick out of (The Customer is) Not Always Right a collection of anecdotes from people dealing with the gen pub.

This incident happened at a Car Wash in Long Island, NY(original here)

Me: “Hi, how are you today? Do you have your receipt?”

Customer: “Here you go. Do you all do any detailing here?”

Me: “Sorry, we don’t. I can recommend a place.”

Customer: “Oh, okay. I just really need to get my car sodomized.”

Me: “Sorry, what?”

Manager: *walks in*

Customer, to my manager: “Do you know a good sodomizer? It’s been ages since I had it done.”

Manager: *walks out*

Well I for one am a firm believer that the customer is not always right.

By all means treat them with kindness and be thankful for their business, but when they are mean and hateful demanding you kiss their ass then it’s exit your hateful mean ass out the door in my book.

I saw a retail owner tell a customer one day after the customer rant and raved about everything they hated to go fuck themselves and never return to his store and if she (the customer) wanted a refund take him to court. I along with another lady told the gentleman we were glad he stood up for what was right. Hate rude people that think you will do anything just because you own the place. I call them asswipe shoppers.

My brother calls them "cuntstomers". Of course, he's Australian so... ;-)

My business partner has let fly with a couple of heavy handed comments to pain in the arse customers. Including telling one particularly deserving prick to "get the fuck out". We've had some real whackadoodles come through the shop.

I rather wish now I'd kept up on my other blog showcasing the ir-regulars. :D
