I carved a notch in my atheist six-shooter with this video at work.
A smart young lass, critical of most things generally, but clung to vague notions of various types of woo as maybe having something to them, whilst at the same time, genuinely laughing at those concepts and practioners.
I caught her reading a "psychiatrists" book she saw on Oprah, who used past lives in his diagnosis of mental illness. I made her watch this video and from then on, only spoke to her using her new name, "Storm".
She now nags me to read Pharyngula everyday and most of the time I address her using her given name. But I'll keep Storm in my back pocket, just in case, she lapses!
